Scope and Definitions

This Privacy Policy explains the data processed within the PlakaNet desktop application (WinUI 3, Windows 10/11) and our official website. PlakaNet runs on-premises and processes data locally by default.

Data Controller / Processor Role

When you run PlakaNet on your own infrastructure, you are the data controller. As the software provider, we do not process data beyond updates and optional support. Cloud or third-party integrations are enabled only by your configuration.

Categories of Data Processed

• Plate text, timestamp, camera ID, entry/exit events.
• Optional visuals: screenshots, video recordings, vehicle images.
• Operator actions, system logs, and error records.
• In parking mode: duration, tariff, fee/receipt info (not designed to contain personal data).

Purposes and Legal Basis

• Access control, security, and parking operations (legitimate interest / contract performance).
• Event logs and auditing (legitimate interest).
• Compliance with legal obligations.
• No marketing/analytics by default; not performed without explicit consent.

Locality and Transfers

• By default, data does not leave your device/corporate network.
• Calls to HTTP/TCP devices, LED boards, and barriers go only to endpoints you define.
• International transfers occur only through your explicit integration choices.

Retention Periods

Retention policies are configurable. Example defaults: transaction logs 90 days, images 30 days. Automatic cleanup tasks remove data exceeding thresholds.

Security Measures

• Local disk encryption (e.g., BitLocker), access control via Windows accounts, role-based operator permissions.
• AES-GCM encryption and Windows DPAPI integration.
• TLS 1.2+/1.3, certificate validation, and integrity checks.

Third Parties

By default there are no third-party processors. Cloud/integration services you configure are subject to their own terms and agreements.

Your Rights

Under KVKK/GDPR you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability. Direct requests to your internal data controller.

Children's Data

PlakaNet is not directed at children and does not knowingly process children's personal data.

Cookies

There are no cookies in the desktop application. Our website may use only essential technical cookies.
